Acquired by Gate in 1995, the NC division of Gate Precast is located in Oxford, 30 miles north of Raleigh-Durham. Gate Precast Company-NC specializes in the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of architectural precast concrete and Gate-Core Prestressed hollow-core slabs. Products are marketed in North Carolina and South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland & DC.
Architectural precast panels are produced with an extensive variety of shapes and finishes. The craftsman at Gate Precast can mimic many different types of natural materials, such as limestone, granite, slate and brick etc. This gives the owner and architect many options for the exterior cladding of their buildings at reduced costs. Recent clients include Duke University, Highwoods Properties, Carter and Associates, Nordstrom Department stores, Boston Properties, Oyster Point Development and Town Center Associates.
Gate-Core prestressed hollow core slabs are utilized in many building types. Slabs of various depths are used as floor and roof units for hotels, motels, dormitories, apartments, correctional facilities and military housing. Recent clients include LaQuinta Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Corp of Engineers, Federal Bureau of Prisons, US Armed Forces, Virginia Tech and Christopher New Port Univ.
